PRIVATE PRACTICE 1991-Present

Danvers and Newburyport, Massachusetts

Full time practice. Providing individual and groups psychotherapy to addicted and mentally ill clients. Functioned as a consulting clinical and social work field placement supervisor to a non-profit agency. Secured a three year contract with the U.S. Postal Service for EAP case management and provided services for up to 15 postal workers per week. Currently contracted with ComPsych Inc. of Chicago to provide full EAP services to 5500 General Electric Aircraft Engine Division employees, Lynn, MA; consultant to drug free workplace coordinator.

NATIONAL LIBRARY OF ADDICTIONS 2001-2002

Brookline, Massachusetts

Program Development Consultant. Supported development of a non-profit education and training library. Stimulated and coordinated growth of education and training programs for addiction treatment professionals and the community. Researched and prepared publication of original outpatient detoxification protocols. Hired and supervised support staff.

OPTUM EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS (Formerly IHR) 1991 -1996 Baltimore, MD

New England Regional Coordinator. Administered complete Employee Assistance Programs to several accounts with employee populations exceeding 3500. Provided work place wellness and stress management seminars and conducted supervisory training and consultation. Conducted assessment, evaluation and referral for clients with a wide range of clinical issues.

BEHAVIOR ASSOCIATES, THE DELPHI CENTER 1989 - 1991

Danvers, Massachusetts

Director. Managed a behavior therapy practice's business including: accounting, hiring clinicians and consultants, marketing, and coordinating quality assurance policies. Provided individual and group psychotherapy for chemically dependent individuals.


MIDDLESEX COUNTY HOSPITAL 1987-1989

Waltham, MA

Senior Counselor at a fourteen day court ordered inpatient treatment program for multiple offender drunk drivers. Clinical responsibilities included assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of chemical dependency and facilitating short term group therapy. Developed and taught new psycho-educational classes. Served as a member of the Treatment Review Team formulating special clinical interventions for non-compliant cases. This became the site of my dissertation work in 2001.
